Summary

Divine Retribution is a continuation of TVB's "Greed of Man." It starts out with the war between Ding Ye (Adam) and Fong Shun Hup. Like in "Greed of Man," these men do not get along. This story takes place at the stock market. Ting Ye wins the first round but loses in the second round. He and his son lose everything so they decide to jump off the building (yes again). But this time, the sons throw the father off instead. Luckily, Ding Ye survives, but his sons aren't that lucky. He vows to revenge.

After he got thrown off, people find him and put him in the hospital. They send Cheung Keung (Amy Kwok) to take care of him since he has some mental problems. Then there's this woman named Ching (sent from the antagonist of this story Anders Nelson who plays the "god father") to spy on Ting Yeh. She gradually falls in love with him and they even sleep together. She is pregnant by Ting Yeh's eldest son so that's considered incestuous. Ding Ye doesn't know about it.

Later in the series, Ding Ye and Fong Shun Hup discover that they are father and son due to an affair Ting Yeh had with Fong Shun Hup's mom years ago. Together, they hold hands to defeat the devil of stock market Anders Nelson (sorry I forgot what character he played).

Well, dear Adam's fans, if you're looking for a romantic/comedy, this one isn't a good one. If you're interested in stock market then this is a GOOD one. And of course, if you're an Adam's fan who wants to collect all of his series then you should rent or buy this series for souvenir hahhahaha.

Do I like this series? Uh...I don't know but it's not on my favorite list :) Divine Retribution theme and sub theme songs sung by Adam are fantastic. Check out the links section above to order his CD and MTV. Highly recommended!
